Blue sky and sunshine in Glasgow! What a day to start my summer project in Paul Hoskisson's Lab!
I should add that I have already worked
with Paul last summer for a couple of weeks helping to characterise a
new Actinomycete pathogen
which gives me a good headstart in terms of lab routine and finding the
needle in the haystack, i.e. the hidden chemical on the cupboard!
So I started off today refreshing my memory on safety protocols,
preparing some LB agar and broth, catching up some reading and setting
up an overnight culture for tomorrow!
I am very excited to be back in the lab and I am looking forward
to the work, experiences and challenges ahead in the next 8 weeks!
Good luck with this project! Keep us posted!
